The Projects launch this Sunday!

It’s always exciting to hear about new creative events taking place in our very own Inner West. The team behind Lo-Fi Collective and the refurbished Toxteth Hotel have added another string to their bow at The Vic Hotel in Enmore. The Projects will be taking place in The Vic’s abandoned car park which will be transformed into a multipurpose creative space and beer garden. Weekends will be offering art workshops, live music, an open-air cinema, a half basketball court and great food.

The Projects space will take advantage of The Vic’s unused lot and create Inner West’s unofficial home of graffiti, street art and creative happenings. A giant wall which stands eight metres high and 20 metres long will be painted every fortnight by graffiti and street artists including Sofles, Roach, Pudl, Numskull and special guests.

Spokes People will host a bike swap meet with vintage and classic bikes and parts to sell and set up. The Designer Markets, curated by Lo-Fi Collective, will peddle the latest in hipster handicraft including terrariums, jewellery and eco candles.

This sounds like the perfect way to kick off Summer and as an added bonus, The Projects is dog and family friendly. When you pop into The Vic Hotel for a drink or a bite to eat, check out my photos of the Inner West that have been made into a pretty cool feature wall in the dining room of the hotel. See you at the launch this Sunday.
