The Gnome Plague

I apologise in advance to anyone who might be a gnome collector or who has other quirky statues and garden paraphernalia that they like to collect… but I am not one of those people. Unfortunately the hoarder that previously lived in my house did have a bit of a fetish for such things, which makes it difficult for me to understand why on earth she chose to leave them behind when she sold the property.

I was left with 4 gnomes (which I think might Sneezy, Sleepy, Happy and one other unidentifiable dwarf),  3 frogs, 3 angels, 2 ducks, 1 dog and a crocodile.

But unfortunately it doesn’t stop there. My friends and family seem to think it is hilarious to add to the collection. It’s not! The latest addition to my gnome family was left in my front garden on the weekend and I have had to relocate her to the backyard to avoid offending my neighbours. THIS HAS TO STOP!

Maybe I could use the Gnomes facebook page to find my little garden friends a new home! It appears there are over 10,000 people who like this page…surely someone would like to take these off my hands!

Perhaps the owner of the gnome encrusted house on Reiby Street will want them?

ha ha.. I don’t know that particular house. I might have to go past and check it out. Maybe I could leave a present or two on their doorstep!
