I headed to Dendy Newtown to check out a new film called “Exit Through The Gift Shop” a film by the notorious street artist, Banksy. Having sold out its sessions at the Sydney Film Festival I thought it would be worthwhile checking out when Dendy began showing it for a limited time. It is funny as hell. Hoax? Real? Documentary? Mockumentary? Fiction? I have no idea and as far as I am concerned...

I spent yesterday walking around Newtown taking photos of some great street art and checking out some shops down the southern end of King Street that I hadn’t seen or been in before. I discovered 567 King, which is a store that combines the sale of street fashion, skateboards, art and Ironlak spray paint. I picked up a couple of brochures while I was in there, one advertising ‘Secret Wars Australia’....

Street Art – Love it or Hate it!
Love it or hate it, the inner west wouldn’t be the same street art. Personally I love it. The creative ideas that flow from the minds of many and decorate the lane ways, houses, garage doors and street corners are a constant delight. A splash of colour on a dreary wall offers an insight into another world of fantasy which is painted for everyone to see, share and enjoy. The inner west has loads...
