Going solo at the movies

Going solo at the movies
A few weeks ago I finished work early and I had absolutely nothing to do, no hot date and no ridiculous rsvp date (offically I am no longer surfing rsvp’s website). I did feel like a wine though and a few hours with a gorgeous man so I turned off my phone and I headed to the Dendy Newtown for a few hours with George Clooney. Seriously this man gets better and better with age, especially when...

From Scootergirl to Bridget Jones!

From Scootergirl to Bridget Jones!
As some of you might know, after a few months experimenting with the rsvp website I was feeling completely dejected and a fellow inner westie who was following my blog rants invited me out for a drink on Friday night. Neither of us knew anything about each other, only that we were both single, we didn’t even know real names, ages or even have each others contact numbers. Scootergirl meets JimBob...

Ending an unsatisfactory online relationship

Ending an unsatisfactory online relationship
As you all know I didn’t get anything out of rsvp, and on the weekend I hit a miserable low point in my life. Why am I so fussy, surely out of the all the eligible bachelors on rsvp, between the himbos, fitness fanatics, travel to a new destination every week bachelors I could have met someone that was vaguely suitable. My friends want me to continue with rsvp and I want to give it the flick....

I am over rsvp!

I am over rsvp!
Ok so I have been trying to be open minded and positive about online dating but I have to vent now. I am over it. I have been been madly emailing, “chatting”, texting and dating for a few months now and what have I got to show for it? Nothing, zip, zero! This is just hard work. I have not met anyone even remotely close to being someone I would like to even hang out with. And what is it...

Under the radar?

Under the radar?
I know I have been quiet, I had hoped to stay under the radar and no one would notice that scootergirl had not made any progress in her quest to find a man, boyfriend or just male friend. It seems that my complaints of being too busy at work have fallen on deaf ears and I now have no more excuses to join rsvp. I was hoping some sweet, kind guy would sweep me off my feet in the last few weeks and I...

Scootergirl on Saturday Night

Scootergirl on Saturday Night
I was given one clear objective, well maybe not objective, maybe you would say it was a threat. If I didn’t mingle with new people on Sat night at the Queen Victoria Hotel at Enmore, my friends said they were putting me on rsvp. I felt that this was a too big a leap so I negotiated this threat down – I had to chat to 1 new person at some stage during the night. The night consisted of 14...

Note to self, more research needed in prep for RSVP date

Recently I posted that I was going to see Under Milk Wood at Sidetrack Theatre at Marrickville. What I didn’t tell you was that I was taking a guy I had met on my first foray into RSVP. It was our second date, our first being coffee. Under Milk Wood the “play for voices” written by Dylan Thomas was unknown to me but the fact that the one actor took the role of 64 people had me excited...
