Petty Cash Cafe on Enmore Park

Cute! Cute! Cute!

I love this place. I visited the Petty Cash Cafe for the first time on the weekend (thanks to a recommendation of my friend Mark) and I have fallen in love! There are so many great things about this place…. where to start? Ok, maybe I should narrow it down to the top 10 things I love about Petty Cash Cafe otherwise I could be here all day!

1. Location – right across from Enmore Park and beautifully positioned so you can soak up the much needed winter sun while enjoying your coffee or meal.

2. Great coffee – don’t just take my word for it, they were awarded a “One Cup” in the 2011 SMH Good Coffee Guide which came out on the weekend.

3. The gorgeous mismatched cups and saucers and the unique spoon collection!

4. The food – corn fritters, chorizo omelette and tofu burger – all yummy. (And, no I didn’t eat all of that by myself, there were three of us)

5. The price – Petty Cash Cafe is appropriately named because it won’t break the bank to enjoy a coffee and breaky or a great lunch.

6. Picnic rugs – yes that’s right. They supply picnic rugs and trays so that you can take your coffee and food across the street and have a picnic in the park. Great idea if you have kids and want to keep them amused on the play equipment while you enjoy lunch.

7. Parking – lots of it.

8. The artwork – there are some very artisticly talented employees at Petty Cash Cafe. I want to buy one of Ingrids artworks currently on display.

9. The furniture and decor – just like the cups and saucers, the furniture is mismatched and much loved.

10. And finally… the best news for me is that it is within walking distance to my house :)

Its all about position, position, position and this place has it all, faces north so nice and sunny, its on a corner overlooking a park (so you can lose the kids for a while) and the food is yummo and the coffee just as good!
