Daisy’s Milkbar, Petersham

Inspired by the old Aussie milk bar, Daisy’s Milkbar is a welcome addition to the Inner West. The delicious food and friendly staff, lemonade stand and the colourful wooden booths will put a big smile on your face when you visit. Only one week old, it’s easy to see why there’s already of line of people waiting to try it out.

The BBQ pulled pork sandwich with slaw was delicious, as was the meatball, cheese, roast capsicum and basil roll. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to try the baked eggs in spicy tomato sauce with Persian feta and chorizo and the corn cakes with avocado and poached eggs from the all day breakfast menu. For those with a sweet tooth the French brioche toast with ricotta, maple syrup and rhubarb sounds like a winner. Toasties, soft boiled egg with soldiers and crumbed chicken bites are sure to keep the kids happy.

With a name like ‘Daisy’s Milkbar’ it’s a good idea to give the milkshakes a try too!

I loved this place the minute I walked the waitress was so friendly the food was great and catered to my gluten free and soy requests. Large servings. I will be back
