Cafe New Deli, Marrickville

No kitchen, no fridge, no kettle, no clean surface anywhere! Currently renovating a 2 bedder in Marrickville and what am I to do without any of the basics needed to make a simple meal?

Explore the local cafes, of course! I almost became a regular part of the furniture at Cafe New Deli (181 Marrickville Road) last week. First I tried the Lamb Burger (with feta, spanish onion, tomato, lettuce and the special New Deli hot chilli relish) and an organic cola, the following day I returned with my hubby and tried the Mediterranean Chicken Burger (artichoke, marinated eggplant, feta, tzatziki and lettuce) and a mocha, then I took my sister back on the weekend to sample the Steak Burger… all delicious and reasonably priced at $12. I may have also sampled a chocolate brownie and boysenberry and lemon curd cheesecake…naughty, naughty, naughty!

Even though I am spending most of my days climbing up and down a ladder to fill, sand and paint walls, my waistband can’t sustain this kind of eating. I am out of control….when will this reno be finished?

Cafe New Deli are also open some nights for dinner and the menu looks awesome. Lovely staff with great atmosphere, food, coffee and service, I will definitely be going back for dinner soon.
