Movember Party at NOM Pizza

Movember Party at NOM Pizza
It’s that time of year when we start to see more than the usual number of the male population sporting the stylish, or sometimes, not so stylish moustache (my husband has fallen face first into this category!). During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in Australia and around the world. The aim of which is to raise vital...

It’s going to be a very busy week with so many great exhibitions opening in the next 7 days. The Australian Stencil Art Prize opens tonight, where a selection of finalists works will be exhibited at the Chrissie Cotter Gallery in Camperdown.  I’ll be attempting to do a double header on Thursday night because I don’t want to miss the Secret Walls ‘Battle Royale’ at Ambush...

Interview with Street Artist: Sid Tapia
Sid Tapia is a local Inner Westie, a truly talented artist and an all round lovely guy! I met Sid and his beautiful wife and daughter a couple of months ago when I was taking a photo of his fabulous Victory Lane wall in Camperdown. He was more than happy to have a chat with me about his work and I have been lucky to see him painting several times since then. The Victory Lane wall is one of my favourites...

The Newtown Hotel re-opens this Friday... here's a sneak peek.
I was excited to be asked if I’d like to have a ‘sneak peek’ at the Newtown Hotel renovation before the official opening this Friday (19 October)! How could I refuse? The Newtown Hotel is 130 years old so this facelift is long overdue. A significant nip and tuck has done wonders for this iconic Newtown landmark. Some of the highlights of the renovated Newtown Hotel include the reconstruction...
