Hardware Gallery on Enmore Road
Now I need to make something perfectly clear from the start – I am no art critic and I am not going to pretend to be one! My only qualification is I enjoy going to galleries and exhibitions to see the amazing work that so many creative people are producing. I just want to let you know a little bit about exhibitions and galleries in the Inner West and encourage you to get out there and have...
Bank Hotel Re-opening
Walk passed the Bank Hotel tonight, lights are on and it looks like they are warming up for their Monday 19 July re-opening… finally. So when Monday rolls around and you need to fight off those Monday blues, which let’s face it – everyone does, head over to the Bank for a nice beverage… or maybe even some Thai!

The NEW Razors Bistro!
I was devastated to find out that Razors Edge Restaurant was closing down after 15 fabulous years but also extremely happy to hear they would be re-opening just a short stroll down the road in the Queen Victoria Hotel, Enmore. Annie, my personal inner west food guide (who also happens to be my workmate) introduced me to the restaurant a couple of years ago and since my first Razors experience I have...

The Beautiful Skippy Girls
I had the pleasure of walking past the beautiful Skippy Girls this week.
They brought a big smile to my face and I hope they bring one to yours.
Originally painted in 1998 the Skippy Girls have been tagged and destroyed several times, but always lovingly restored by local residents.
Next time you need a bit of cheering up, walk along Wilson Street and watch the girls skipping along the corrugated...
The Elusive Inner West Property
The Long Search
AAAARGHHHHHH…. When will our inner west dream come true??? After searching for a home to buy for over 12 months, my husband and I thought it was never going to happen. I think we may have been the only people actually wishing for a rate rise hoping that it might slow the real estate market that seemed to be continually spiralling out of our reach. Having been repeatedly devastated...
55 Leamington Avenue Newtown For Sale $9,949,500
About a week ago I wrote a blog about a property in Newtown for sale for an extraordinary price – 3 bed / 2 bath / 0 car – for a bargain price of $9,950,000.
Well I was pleased to find out that the agents thought this was a little expensive too and the price was therefore reduced…to $9,495,000.
Much more realistic don’t you think!!! Ha ha…
For anyone interested in finding...
Oh Really Gallery – Culture Jam
I popped into the Oh Really Gallery last night for some live painting by Houl and live improvised hip hop by members of The Dyno Mics. The gallery was opened by street artists Max Berry, Daniel O’Toole (Ears) and Jamie Nimmo. Great art, great music, great beer. What more could you ask for on a Thursday night.
To keep updated on all happenings and exhibitions at the gallery just check out their...

Talented and creative! Artisans Arts & Craft Eveleigh Market
How did I not know about this place?
If you have never been to the Eveleigh Markets, it is worth a visit just to admire the space and the surrounding buildings – not to mention the great art, design, fashion and craft stalls. Despite my initial intention of going to the markets just to have a look (at least that’s what I told myself), I found myself continually pulling my wallet out the make...
