Art Pharmacy – Prescriptions for art lovers

Art Pharmacy, Sydney’s newest artist collective is hosting back-to-back Pop Up exhibitions this month. Art Pharmacy is Australia’s first online art gallery featuring original Australian artworks with pricing that makes them accessible to all. Local Inner Westie, Emilya Colliver is the creative force behind this great project. Whether purchasing an artwork for a creative space, the home, office, or a wedding gift, Art Pharmacy has carefully selected some of the most unique and high quality artworks created by established and emerging artists found in Australia.

Art Pharmacy will undertake its second foray into Pop Ups with TWO back to back exhibitions over one month. Both exhibitions will showcase original art from established and emerging Australian artists. Art Pharmacy has come up with a show that is original, affordable and edgy.

Art Pharmacy Pop Up Show- 118 Oxford Street, Darlinghurst

The first show will display artworks for purchase that are small, sensibly priced and one of a kind. The show is titled ‘CITY vs NATURE’ and features 20 artists and 85 original works in a variety of mediums from illustration, watercolour, oil & acrylic paint, to wood and collage. All works explore the complex relationship between city life and the natural world. All will be priced between $100-$250 and are A5 size.

Art Pharmacy’s second show CONTEMPORARY URBANISM will be popping up in the same space on Thursday May 16th at 6pm. In this show 5 emerging artists will present scenes from the streets, bringing both the grit and vibrancy of the city to our pop-up space. The exhibition will feature 30 medium to large scale works, entrenched in urban culture and ripe with undertones of humour and wit. CONTEMPORARY URBANISM is a spyglass into the streets, modern city life through the artist’s eyes.
